I want to address an issue with the content on this website. AI generated images. AI generated content is spamming the photo section of this website. Not only does it oversaturate real user created photos, it it also very deceptive. Deceptive in the fact that the images are fake and the clothing represented are fake. Nothing exists in real life of those images. So my solution to the problem is for the moderators of this website to add a new section. “Nylon Art” section should be added for all AI user generated content. Separate the AI content from the real user photos.

- It's not deceptive if the album is clearly marked as AI and/or it's obvious from the style and context. (Also model photos are so staged and photoshopped and altered, are they actually so 'real'?)
- Debatable if it's 'spamming' or 'oversaturating' real life photos: currently in the galley 81/95 pictures on the first two pages are real and only 14 are AI.
- There are many real pictures on here that get posted repeatedly and duplicated by multiple users over the years.
- We all have likes and dislikes and a system of having such-and-such in a separate category or prohibiting it altogether would create an impossible rabbit warren of specialised sub-galleries. I have had a lot of positive comments for uploading AI generations so at least some people like them.
- Having said all that, I would be ok if separate category would be made for artificially generated content and it could only be posted in there.

So I tend to agree to @Nylongamer87

Please have a look some pages further back. There are nearly hundreds in one run. No selection, just shooting out. Sorry but that's not art that's spamming with copy&pasted images. ...MY OPINION...

So in general, I would also welcome the creation of a separate category for AI “Art”. We will see.

Regarding the quantity of images posted, I must also say quite clearly: quantity does NOT necessarily equate to quality.
I mean, most users recognize Ai images, but it would still be nice if they were tagged that way... Meaningful tags would be the icing on the cake.

Forgot to say that..... NO I don't think all AI is bad, but I think a selection would be fine.
And YES there are some really good creations out there.

AI art is awesome for niche stuff like nylon clothes content, but there’s something special about real photos. A separate section would be perfect!

It would be nice if users only posted their best AI art rather than many iterations of the same scene, but that would be burdensome to enforce

May be it is good idea to post this content at the DeviantArt? This is special site for artworks. And of course it is good idea to give links at the Shinysports on pages of deviations (artwork). It is intresting to make shiny nylon community at DeviantArt. There are very few fans of shiny nylon sportswear on DeviantArt. I have an idea how to improve this. I'll create a separate topic.

Upd.

From here.

I think it is possible to give links to the Shinysports in your deviations (artworks) at the DeviantArt. This will not attract users to DeviantArt from here, but on the contrary, will advertise Shinysports at the DeviantArt.

You can write that pic created by creative community of Shinysports. And people will think 'What?'. And their curiosity will lead them here.

So there are some good intentions, even if I'm not fine with everything.... I answered in one of your other threads .... if you got further questions about us, about Shinysports or else don't hesitate to contact me or an other mod directly....

I don’t think anybody has bad intentions, but I don’t like the drastic shift in content on this site. I joined Shiny Sport very close to the beginning, and to me this recent shift is kind of driving away all the old content creators on here, myself included. Almost to the point where I do not want to upload any new pictures anymore.

Some of the AI pics are clearly of very young people, this seems very wrong to me and. Shouldn’t be on here

Exactly. People should pick the best couple photos and upload those.

While I don't post here anymore, when I do a photo session, I take 25-75 photos. I'll then filter that down to 3-5 photos that have the best poses, good composition/framing, lighting, etc.

There are some genuinely good AI photos I've seen, but the hit rate is very low for me, maybe 1 per 50. Or put another way, there's often standout photos that are much better than the rest.

Maybe a daily upload limit would be helpful? 🤷‍♀️🤔

People, nothing is eaten as hot as it is cooked. Let's see together that we make the best of it or take it with us.

We have now created a separate category for AI, I will sort the pictures in the next few days if this has not yet happened.

So you can simply bypass these pictures by selecting the appropriate section in the gallery...

I think it would be a pity if users don't want to post anything anymore because they are overwhelmed by AI pictures.

The fact that some creations look like minors is indeed a point, but I think it's difficult to define that now because in the end it's just pixels without biology.

However, we will continue to remove offensive and questionable content from AI images if it is clearly visible.

What about this solution.....? You can post a few pictures here and simply put a link in the description to your DA-profile... So the gallery will not be flooded but anyone wanting more knows where to get more 🤷😉

Could it be that simple? 🤣

I agree with this. Some of the AI is very good, but when it gets tossed up here, it's saturated.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s insane just how much is getting spammed and flooding the gallery. It’s beyond annoying, if I’m being honest. Out of all of the AI that’s been posted on here, I think I saw maybe one or two out of the hundreds that were actually good. Of course that’s just my opinion though. It still doesn’t beat actual pictures of nylon.

Some AI makes many lulz. Spare hands, legs, boots, for example.

But it draw shiny nylon cool. Except old stone washed shiny nylon (shellsuits and windsuits of 80's and 90's).

Completely agree here too. I often like to go to the what's new section and when it's been spammed with AI image after AI image, a lot of which are very similar, it makes the site less usable.

I can do without the slop from AI personally, messed up AI pics are everywhere else online and gets super annoying rather than lulz material.
