Hey all!

I've been lurking for many years, but decided to register and add one to the count. So hello! 👋

Been in the swishy wind pants/track suit scene since I was a young kid. Back in the early 90s and through the 2000s I'd wear wind pants all the time because they are so darn comfy. I still regularly wear swishy pants a few times a week when I can. I really like wearing them out going shopping and running errands, but spend plenty of time at home enjoying them watching TV and doing stuff around the house. During the pandemic, I was wearing them every day for the most part.

Over the years, especially recently, folks have asked me where I've gotten my pants or jackets from, and mostly Etsy and eBay. Gotten some really nice compliments saying they look way better than ugly grey or black sweatpants that all guys seemingly wear for whatever reason. I don't even own a pair of those ugly sweatpants. (Huge turn off for me seeing girls/guys wearing them! Like gross! ewwww) As far as I go are the Adidas/Nike soccer pants.

I prefer unlined wind pants, but I do have some that have mesh or cotton lining. I wear the lined ones mostly during the winter, but they get too hot during the summer so the unlined pants come out. I prefer mostly the cuffed/jogger style. Not huge into the PVC coated stuff, but I do have a few really shiny wind pants. I just like the standard nylon tafetta shiny swishyness.

I'm hoping one of these days Adidas and Nike will make more unlined nylon swishy pants like they used to. I think people are tiring of the sweat pants era. Although every thing new that they sell seems like they having mesh lining or isn't swishy. It'd be awesome if the Nike Windrunners would have a summer unlined version with the same swishy material. In fact, I can't even find anyone who makes simple black swishy unlined wind pants that are cuffed/jogger style. Funny thing is, I know how to sew, been thinking of buying the shiny nylon fabric, elastic and making/selling some. LOL

Anyhoo.... just thought I'd say hi!

Hi and welcome! I also love windpants more than just boring old sweats. At least with windpants, you can style them a bit while still being comfy. You might be in luck with companies selling them again. I saw these bad boys in the mall the other day. They have the same nylon look and feel that we know and love.

I got my eye on them. Waiting for the price to go down. They are lined, but they look awesome.

A few weeks ago I got my hands on these Adidas Tiro Woven jacket and pants on a sweet deal... got both the yellow and navy and black and white. I wore the black and white top and bottoms on my walk this morning. They are shinier in person.

I also got these the other day too looking for deals:

Yeah, I'll hit you up with ideas.

It's funny, because it's so easy and cheap to make unlined windpants. Versus doing the lining.
