A brief overview of the plot of this work: Professor Preobrazhensky created an artificial human, Polygraph Polygraphovich Sharikov. This man were created through a surgical operation, transplanting a portion of brain from a criminal killed in a drunken brawl to the dog. In other words, this man was created from the dog.
Then the artificially created person began to develop and became an asocial person, just like the donor, part of whose brain was used in the surgical operation. In one of the scenes of the story, he stole money, and when the professor asked him: "Who stole the money?", this character blamed the professor's maid and also his assistant and nurse named Zinaida.
Sharikov said exactly that: “Maybe Zinka took (the money)”.
It's become a meme in the post-Soviet space. Now Zinaida is blamed for all sorts of strange things. People say, "Maybe it's Zinka".
So when the American weapons disappeared, I also thought, "Maybe Zinka".
How did she survive and live today? The story takes place in 1924, right?
According to the story, Professor Preobrazhensky was working to make people immortal. His experiment with a dog was unsuccessful. But do failures ever stop a true scientist? The next experiment was successful, and Zinaida was one of the first to achieve immortality. And since she's also a nurse, she gained combat experience during all the wars of the 20th and 21st centuries, except WWI. You can create your own stories about her adventures.
