Yea, it would be nice if adidas sold the same windpants and suits in the US that they sell in Russia, but I guess it's all based on social norms and what people will buy. Maybe some of us need to go out on social media and be trend setters--go get over your fetish shame and model in those shiny nylon pants and put it on Instagram. (I would, but I don't quite have the body for it--perhaps my shame might be in other areas. 😂)
Yeah I wished they did but I really wished they sold the wet look nylon clothes in the us. I only see the wet look nylon like in Europe.

Depop can sometimes have new pairs with tags but you have to dig really deep to find them.

This is true, but sometimes I think its quite hot to wear a pair that someone else has worn, you dont know if they were into the fetish, or if they just wore them for sports or casually

I recently bought a girl in the states some adidas gear and being in the UK i had no idea how different their range for Europe was to USA!!

Hmm i curious about... I have an completely different image of the availability in EU/Germany....... So in shops it's really rare to get wet look clothing like in the 80s/90s there are some of them from big brands like Adidas and Nike but mostly for women. You can get nylon or polyester in outdoor or sporting shops but it's most technical stuff and not even shiny or just for style... And when i'm searching in the www mostly shiny clothing are from UK or US 😅 ... I found some shops on Etsy from Taiwan or generally far east but in Germany it's rare... So there are only some thrift shops and sometimes ASOS or H&M which have shiny clothing for sell...

It can be a turkey shoot when brands change their stuff so often, I have the same issue with bodywarmers and track suits that they change the materials to less appealing kinds. it sucks when you go in the store and you discover that what they have now is less good...
Not related to nylon but I heard a story that one well-known sports company deliberately often discontinued their most popular running shoes for a few months so that people would buy more than one pair at a time.

Honestly, I know it can be hit or miss, but I have found really good nylon pants on ASOS from Nike and Ellesse etc. I have brought some pairs from ellesse in particular that are very shiny, kinda slim but still with ankle cuffs, and have this super comfortable nylon lining that really gets me 😉. Also a few Nike pairs that actually look half decent with some outfits, and are still going to ensure you're the loudest person in the room. Some might be pricey, but there's always something good going about.

I’ve never heard of ellesse but I’ll check them out. I have some puma ones that are relatively decent as well. Not the loudest but eh whatever. The new nike air ones are pretty loud and look and feel enough like traditional nylon to earn a pass from me. I would suggest karrimor. They’re actually rain pants but could pass as regular windpants. Nice fit and loud enough.

It's the monetaristic system 🙄 to get more profits ...

Ellesse got also some nice clothes but for me it's like "ed hardy" in the 2000s everyone got that stuff like an youth hype and in this case i don't want it.... And i have read that the quality is no worth the money (Windbreaker ~80-90€), so the seams should not be the best. But it's only what i read i can't proof it by myself...

What is a nylon lining? Do you mean unlined? See if you can get a picture

I thought nylon lined meant unlined too but apparently there are nylon pants that have another layer of nylon on the inside. Double the fun

Yes, they exist. I recently told a story on a post about wearing my housemate's windpants when she was away--they had a nylon lining, and it was a softer weave of the fabric than the crisper outer shell of the pants. I also on another occasion fooled around with a girl in college who was wearing a pair of windpants with nylon lining as well. It's not common, and these events happened over 15 years ago, but it is (or was) a thing.

Really nice...

You can link it ... I think to put in pictures is a bit laborious. You need the link address, then you could put it in the text by the image icon...

I’ll have to check that out then. Yeah which sucks I wonder why they changed the nylon material.
They didn't change the nylon, usually today it's polyester.
And if it's really nylon, then the fabric is much more thinner.
I prefer the old original nylon, too. It's usually more shiny and slippery.
Altough I have a hooded and insulated winter jacket from Adidas, made of very fine woven polyester.
It's so heavily ultrashiny, never seen that before. It really looks and feels like nylon, but much more shinier.
Now I'm searching for the matching pants.
