hi all

i wanted to announce some rules about posting AI content after reading some feedback from members and also thinking on the subject myself.

there are two new categories in the gallery for SFW and NSFW artwork related to sportswear. artwork is a general term to include AI content. drawn/rendered media of it has been extremely rare before AI came along so I thought it made sense to use the term to cover it all.

please use the the two new categories and move your existing AI related content to them by the end of september. otherwise we will just remove AI content in the wrong section as we see them.

i also have some additional guidelines on posting AI content
  1. if you upload multiple images of simply small variations of one subject, the mods have the go ahead to remove the variations at their discretion and issue a warning moving forward
  2. if the quality is low and its AI generated, do not upload it. i get this is subjective, but it should not be 'slop' content. strange anatomy and warped text and logos are a couple of examples of low quality and effort to post. i'm guilty of this myself when the technology was early, and i'll be deleting the older ones i posted.
  3. tag with 'ai generated' on anything made with AI and again make sure its posted in the correct category

i'd like to acknowledge this is groundbreaking technology and i get why it is scary or easy to dismiss to some people, but i would appreciate it if we keep discussion or venting about it to a minimum. it's pretty much in the news every day and while i'm okay with talking about how it affects the community here specifically, i don't think we need to talk about it in a general sense.

my hope with these rules is to encourage people to post high quality AI content that have a high degree of realism while being transparent about what it is in limited amounts.

while low quality AI content can generated in mass very quickly without too much knowledge by using paid AI services, high quality AI content takes effort and time and can be very expensive.

i will see about adding a content filter for AI content on the home page unless you opt in as well.

Thanks for creating an AI NSFW category. But I just tried to move an album there and it is greyed out when I try to select this option, so it wasn't possible. Maybe this will be fixed soon.
What are you defining as 'small variations'? If the pose or outfit has some difference, is that ok?

hi kipperflew, this is by design as the artwork categories only contain images and not albums. people have been creating simply too many albums and not reusing existing ones. individual images can be moved to them instead. you should still have the option to do this in bulk, but if you don't see the option to select multiple images, let me know.

about your second question, the outfit or pose should be entirely different. if there are minor differences, i would say pick your favorite or what looks best in your eyes and post that instead of the many smaller variations.
